Welcome to my daily gratitude journal. Everyday I will share one thing for which I’m thankful in the areas of family, work, and well-being.
Every day, every moment, and every experience (even the “bad” ones) present opportunities for thankfulness. But to whom are we to express thankfulness? God, our Heavenly Father, must be the object of our thankfulness. All good things come from Him (Jas 1:17); and He works all things (once again, including the “bad” things) together for the good for those who love Him (Rom 8:28).
Today, I’m thankful to God for…
Family: How everyone in my family is growing in the knowledge of God. We’ve been studying Isaac, Rebekah, Esau, and Jacob as a family this week and it’s such a blessing to see how God’s grace in their individual stories is impacting our parenting and more.
Work: The insightful interview that I conducted with Dr. Michael Youssef yesterday…as I research and prepare to write my third book. Such a blessing.
Well-being: The peace that comes from trusting and resting in God’s grace. I’m not perfect. I’m not perfectly obedient to Jesus…and I will never be on this side of eternity. But it’s okay! He died and lives today for broken people like you and me. His yoke is easy, and His burden is light (Mt. 11:30).
These are the three things for which I’m thankful today.
I pray that my journal will inspire you to express thankfulness daily to God.
