Welcome to my daily gratitude journal. Everyday I will share one thing for which I’m thankful in each of the areas of family, work, and well-being.
Every day, every moment, and every experience (even the “bad” ones) present opportunities for thankfulness. But to whom are we to express thankfulness? God, our Heavenly Father, must be the object of our thankfulness. All good things come from Him (Jas 1:17); and He works all things (once again, including the “bad” things) together for the good for those who love Him (Rom 8:28).
Today, I’m thankful to God for…
Family: The report I received from a parent of a child who is in Pre-K with our daughter. The mother told me that her son came home talking about how God gave us the rainbow as His promise that He will never flood the entire earth again. When she asked her son how he learned that, he told his mom that our daughter told him. Praise God for children who share His Truth! I’m also thankful for the report from our son’s daycare that he has good manners and often says, “thank you” to his teachers and friends. I’m happy that at 2 years old that he is learning to express gratitude!
Work: The dear brothers and sisters who I pray with while at work.
Well-being: A good night of peaceful sleep!
These are the three things for which I’m thankful today.
I pray that my journal will inspire you to express thankfulness daily to God.
