Welcome to my daily gratitude journal. Everyday I will share one thing for which I’m thankful in the areas of family, work, and well-being.
Every day, every moment, and every experience (even the “bad” ones) present opportunities for thankfulness. But to whom are we to express thankfulness? God, our Heavenly Father, must be the object of our thankfulness. All good things come from Him (Jas 1:17); and He works all things (once again, including the “bad” things) together for the good for those who love Him (Rom 8:28).
Today, I’m thankful to God for…
Family: Sparing my family in Houston from major damage from Hurricane Harvey. We are greatly blessed.
Work: My spiritual growth due to the writing, research, and editing work that I do at The Church of The Apostles. I am so blessed to do work that involves the reading of God’s Word! Please pray that I correctly apply all the truth that I encounter at work in my Christian walk.
Well-being: The relatively quick healing of this head cold that I’m dealing with. I didn’t feel great on Monday, but I’m feeling much better today (Wednesday). It certainly helps that I’m married to a lovely physician and that we have all types of medicines, oils, and remedies around the house. But it’s ultimately God who does the healing.
These are the three things for which I’m thankful today.
I pray that my journal will inspire you to express thankfulness daily to God.
