Daily Gratitude Journal
[bctt tweet=”Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. – 1 Thess 5:18″ username=”CraftWrites”]

Welcome to my daily gratitude journal. Everyday I will share one thing for which I’m thankful in each of the areas of family, work, and well-being.

Every day, every moment, and every experience (even the “bad” ones) present opportunities for thankfulness. But to whom are we to express thankfulness? God, our Heavenly Father, must be the object of our thankfulness. All good things come from Him (Jas 1:17); and He works all things (once again, including the “bad” things) together for the good for those who love Him (Rom 8:28).

Today, I’m thankful to God for…

Family: Our 2-year old son’s physical development. He was a late walker and we had to get a physical therapist to come work with him every week a year or so ago. But he has come such a long way. He’s running and jumping like a champ these days. Praise God! Next step: potty training. Pray for us!

Work: The tons of investing knowledge that I’ve gained in the last few months. There are several different ways to approach stock investing and I’m studying them all (though value investing is more in my wheelhouse). I’m intrigued by the art, science, and psychology of it all.

Well-being: Feeling better. I was under the weather last night, so I turned in early. I woke up this morning feeling much better. Feeling sick with three young kids around isn’t fun at all. I’m thankful that my wife was able to hold it down with them while I was in bed.

These are the three things for which I’m thankful today.

I pray that my journal will inspire you to express thankfulness daily to God.
