Welcome to my daily gratitude journal. Everyday I will share one thing for which I’m thankful in each of the areas of family, work, and well-being.
Every day, every moment, and every experience (even the “bad” ones) present opportunities for thankfulness. But to whom are we to express thankfulness? God, our Heavenly Father, must be the object of our thankfulness. All good things come from Him (Jas 1:17); and He works all things (once again, including the “bad” things) together for the good for those who love Him (Rom 8:28).
Today, I’m thankful to God for…
Family: The wife and me getting better at defusing the back-and-forth arguments and whining between our two daughters. They are constantly picking at each other. It gets pretty annoying, but we’ve learned how to separate them and/or get them to be more respectful and helpful of/to each other. The age gap (9 and 4) makes for some loud and erratic situations. Please pray for our patience and parental wisdom!
Work: The opportunity to be interviewed by VoyageATL Magazine. I talked about my career story and how God has helped me transform my career and passions for His glory.
Well-being: Me being able to do more athletic movements since hurting my back/hip a few months ago. I’m still not 100%, but I’m getting there. Just waiting for my chiropractor’s “okay” before I regularly play on the basketball court again.
These are the three things for which I’m thankful today.
I pray that my journal will inspire you to express thankfulness daily to God.
