Hey! It’s Friday!
Welcome to my daily gratitude journal. Everyday I will share one thing for which I’m thankful in each of the areas of family, work, and well-being.
Every day, every moment, and every experience (even the “bad” ones) present opportunities for thankfulness. But to whom are we to express thankfulness? God, our Heavenly Father, must be the object of our thankfulness. All good things come from Him (Jas 1:17); and He works all things (once again, including the “bad” things) together for the good for those who love Him (Rom 8:28).
Today, I’m thankful to God for…
Family: The family of faith. Last night, we had a fruitful neighborhood book study complete with discussion on God’s self-existence and self-sufficiency (reading The Knowledge of the Holy by A.W. Tozer [affiliate link]). We also had a great time of prayer. I’m thankful for solid brothers nearby to study and pray with.
Work: The opportunity to meet and interview interesting people as I conduct interviews for my upcoming podcast project, The Chris Craft Show. More info coming soon!
Well-being: Breakthrough with my lower back pain. At last, I started a steroid regimen that has really knock out a lot of the inflammation in my muscles. Now I need to get to stretching. I should have started the steroid regimen months ago! It helps to have a doctor in the home who reminds me to take my neglected medicine.
These are the three things for which I’m thankful today.
I pray that my journal will inspire you to express thankfulness daily to God.
