Greetings!

Welcome to my daily gratitude journal. Everyday I will share one thing for which I’m thankful in each of the areas of family, work, and well-being.

Every day, every moment, and every experience (even the “bad” ones) present opportunities for thankfulness. But to whom are we to express thankfulness? God, our Heavenly Father, must be the object of our thankfulness. All good things come from Him (Jas 1:17); and He works all things (once again, including the “bad” things) together for the good for those who love Him (Rom 8:28).

Today, I’m thankful to God for…

Family: The intelligence that God has blessed our children with. Something they say, do, or ask drops my jaws at least once a day. Please pray that wifey and I can help them be the best that they can be spiritually, emotionally, mentally, and academically.

Work: No work today! I was able to make some good headway with updating our family budget though!

Well-being: Today’s sermon from 2 Timothy 2:3-7 on the hardworking minister in God’s Kingdom. Paul’s example of the soldier, the athlete, and the farmer led to some great illustrations about the dedication required to be a fruitful worker in God’s Kingdom. Sluggards, repent and get to work!

These are the three things for which I’m thankful today.

I pray that my journal will inspire you to express thankfulness daily to God.
