Welcome to my daily gratitude journal. Everyday I will share one thing for which I’m thankful in the areas of family, work, and well-being.
Every day, every moment, and every experience (even the “bad” ones) present opportunities for thankfulness. But to whom are we to express thankfulness? God, our Heavenly Father, must be the object of our thankfulness. All good things come from Him (Jas 1:17); and He works all things (once again, including the “bad” things) together for the good for those who love Him (Rom 8:28).
With that clarified, I’m thankful to God today for…
Family: Waking up every member of our family this morning. My wife and I just celebrated Super Hero Day at our 2 y/o son’s daycare. He is Spider-Man today!
Work: Nao Media’s new direction in serving churches with content writing and digital engagement consulting.
Well-being: The gradual healing of my sprained back. At the age of 38, I’m not as spry as I used to be. I hurt my back playing basketball a couple months ago. Some dear church members introduced me to an excellent chiropractor and I’m feeling better after just one treatment! I’m thankful for the progress of my healing.
Bonus: For my dear friends like John Crotts and Kent Keller at our church. They’ve been a great help with my book writing process.
These are the three (err…four) things for which I’m thankful today.
I pray that my journal will inspire you to express thankfulness daily to God.
